Facilities Statement

The VCU College of Health Professions celebrated the start of construction on its new state-of-the-art building at a ground breaking event in 2017. The new facility is now complete and provides a unified space for the school’s nine academic units, the dean’s office and the Virginia Center on Aging. Its top-ranked programs had occupied 13 different buildings in the past 45 years, scattered across two campuses. Graduates of the VCU College of Health Professions work together side by side every day to provide the best integrated health care possible — and now, for the first time ever, CHP students will learn that way too. What’s more, the new state-of-the-art facility will exponentially enhance our ability to offer exceptional interdisciplinary research and scholarship experiences. The new building matches the outstanding caliber of our nationally acclaimed academic programs while significantly improving our efforts to attract and recruit the best and brightest students and faculty. It will be a visible reflection of the college’s and VCU’s commitment to preparing students to be the very best in their chosen fields.
